This dashing couple attended the 200th Anniversary Waterloo Ball in Brussels, Belgium, a white-tie military ball to commemorate the Duchess of Richmond’s glittering 1815 Ball for Wellington’s army during which messages arrived informing Wellington of Napoleon’s advance. During the dances, men began to slip away to their regiments; some of the men who remained for the last dance fought at Quatre Bras still wearing their evening costume.
